Shopping In Bali

Shopping In Bali

Shopping in Bali is diverse – from a T-shirt that you can bargain for at the markets to exquisite handicraft to take home. From a village in Ubud to a high end boutique in Seminyak. We are sure you will find something to take home as a memory from Bali.

MARKETS

If you like to bargain and get yourself a good “deal” head to one of the main markets of Bali. The post popular markets are Kuta Beach markets, Kumba Sari markets in Denpasar and the markets in Ubud. All three markets offer souvenirs, sarongs, clothing, wooden sculptures, paintings and handicrafts. Kumba Sari market however also sells fresh vegetables and fruit.

Our favourite market is the Seminyak markets where you can bargain for a beautifully made kaftans, cotton printed dresses, gorgeous leather sandals, designer T’s, jewellery and bags.

Malls

Bargaining for the best deal is not everyone’s cup of tea! For those that want to have “fixed” prices as in most western countries, Bali has some great malls that you can shop till you drop.

Beach Walk Kuta

You will find everything from Armani to Zara at Beach Walk in Kuta. Along with some great shopping, Beach walk has a great Cinema, a good selection of cafes and eateries. It is a fantastic way to spend the day with the whole family.

Mal Bali Galeria Kuta

Mal Bali Galleria is located just on the roundabout with the Simpang Dewaruci statue. The mall is popular with both tourists and locals. Also located at the mall is DFS Galleria Bali and Galeria 21 Cineplex.

Bali Collection Nusa Dua

Bali Collection Nusa Dua combines shopping, restaurants, cafes and spas in a huge outdoor area. Whilst there are numerous boutiques including Bamboo Blonde, Paul Ropp, Uluwatu (lace products), there is also a SOGO department store. Come for some afternoon shopping and stay for dinner.

CRAFT

In Bali, a number of villages specialise in their own craft. Each village will have long roads of shops all selling their village “specialty”

Celuk Village – Silver

If you are looking for a special piece of gold or silver jewellery, head to Celuk, on route to Ubud. There are high end galleries with stunningly designed jewellery and workshops where you can see the process involved in making each individual piece.

Mas – Wood

Mas is known for the skill of incredible wood carvings. Also on the way to Ubud, Mas will definitely keep you amazed at the intricate designs that the locals produce.

Sukawati Art market – Gianyar

Sukawati Art market are the longest established markets in Bali. The 2 storey building is packed with local handicrafts, sarongs, traditional kites, woven bags and is popular with both locals and tourists.

Upmarket and trendy shopping

It is a well-known fact that Seminyak is the heart of all boutique shopping with both local and international designers. From Eat street to Oberoi you will find the most stunning boutiques in Bali.

Luxury leather sandals, beachwear, dresses, designer T’s – the only negative is that you only have one suitcase to fill!!!! Some of Our favourites include:

  • Bambo Blonde – Clothing boutique
  • BIASA – Crafted, clothing, jewellery and other collections
  • Body & Soul – Clothing store
  • Puravida – Clothing and wooden beads
  • Mimpi Manis – Shoes, bags and more shoes (LOVE)
